Medical Camp Samparita 21st-22nd July 2007

Had a medical camp at Samparita, roughly 40-60 minutes drive (with a 4-wheel dive, no less, mind you) from the pekan of KM, jointly organised with Food for the Hungry International Malaysia. Response was good, firstly from my staff who willingly sacrifice their weekends with their family to help out in the camp and also from the kampung folks. About 250 of them turned up in the 2 days. After the clinic close at noon on the second day, we jumped into Sungai Bengkoka, splashing around as if we've never seen water before. The water wasn't clear because it had rained the day before but nevertheless we did had lotsa fun. However there was one thing that slipped my mind. Sunblock. Heck where to find sunblock in the kampung? Anyways, the first thing my mum said when I went back home today was "Why do you look darker..?" Hrrrmp....
